Lovely house, dating from the 17th century in the magnificant town of lavoute chilhac. Stone floors in the kitchen and old oak floors in other rooms with a fully equipped kitchen with gas stove and oven, fridge, coffee maker, toaster, washing machine, vacuum cleaner and iron. living room has sofa bed for one person, comfortable chairs, a television and toys for children. Large and comfortable. first floor: room with queen sized bed, bathroom and then another w.C. second floor: large bedroom with queen sized bed, two other bedrooms with single beds in each. access to garden from the 2nd floor. Garden has veranda like sitting area with table and chairs and bbq as well as lounge chairs. third floor has one large room with three single beds. sheets are supplied with rental and there is a baby's bed as well as high chair. lavoute chilhac is a magnificant village with a church from the 15th century as well as the bridge which the house overlooks. There are small shops: the butcher, the baker, cafes and restaurants... But not many and it is truly a small and beautiful town overlooking the hills and on the allier river. the house is just meters from the river where you can lounge the day away, go kayaking or canoeing (rentals available in lavoute chilhac), fishing or swimming. It is an ideal spot for bird watching as the ornithological center is located here also. from lavoute chilhac, one can go for hikes, biking, visit the nearby villages of lavaudieu, chilhac, or go into the cities of le puy en velay or clermont ferrand. It is an excellent location, close to everything with the calm of the countryside.
